Word Version of MSDS

December 2000

Dear Customer:

Enclosed are revised Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for the steel you have recently purchased or may purchase in the future from Mid-West Materials. The revised sheets supersede any previous ones; therefore please update your MSDS files accordingly. The MSDS's are provided as part of our continuing efforts to comply with the OSHA Hazard Communication Standard (29 CFR 1910.1200).

The information on the MSDS's was supplied to Mid-West by our suppliers. Although not all of our products contain all of the hazardous substances shown, we believe that supplying your facility with a complete list of all substances will be beneficial in the event that you should purchase other steel products in the future.

The steel products sold by Mid-West Materials, Inc. in their usual physical form, normally do not pose any heath hazards. However, burning, welding, grinding, cutting or similar operations may emit dust or fumes. Exposure to such metallic dusts or fumes should be kept within the permissible exposure limits established by OSHA. Generally, this can be accomplished by utilizing adequate ventilation and/or personal protective equipment. It is important that this information be communicated and made available to those employees having contact with these products. It is also important that you transmit this information to your customers/processors.

Future revisions of these MSDS's will be sent to you as they occur. If you have any questions concerning the MSDS program, please contact the undersigned.

Very truly yours,

MID-WEST MATERIALS, INC.
